The graticule is placed in a sunny area away from humidity.\u003cbr\u003eAfter a week, the figs are turned over, and turned over again after another week... this continues until they are thoroughly dry. \u003cbr\u003eThen they are threaded onto a rush string and held by a small piece of cane cut in half.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBeneficial properties\u003cbr\u003eDried figs are a high-energy food: 100g provide approximately 270 kcal, each dried fig weighs an average of 20g and therefore contains about 54 kcal.
